Let me first
start off by saying, I don’t get “C’s”. Okay so I have a C. It’s my only C I’ve
ever got. But it’s a high C. I get A’s and then I got a B once, and I’m in the
Honor’s Club and on the Dean’s list every semester so far. I am in my last
semester and I will graduate in a month!
And Physics
is kicking my butt!
Because I’m
getting a C.

As a design student, I find it
helpful on “critique day,” when I and my classmates will review each other’s
work. It is a positive way to get, and give, feedback. This is a very valuable
part of the design process as it carries over into real-world-job-situations. Often
in design work, we are part of a team, designing as a group, where each member
has input for the final project. Or, as a Karenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07489790636123617494noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-383869808970130649.post-14628918927121399022016-06-15T18:58:00.002-04:002016-06-15T18:58:35.195-04:00The Little Things
Today I awoke as usual and stumbled into the kitchen for my
morning coffee. As I walked past my husband’s easy chair, I sleepily came to
the realization that he was not sitting in it. He almost always awakes before
me and he will sit quietly, sipping his coffee while patiently waiting for me
to get my ass out of bed up. I naturally assumed he must be outside and
thought no more of it. He’d be Karenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07489790636123617494noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-383869808970130649.post-63168879306606249862015-05-15T18:03:00.001-04:002016-02-03T09:31:27.039-05:00Butterflies A Short Collection of Short Stories

This is a
collection of short fiction stories about women who make up their own rules,
even if those rules are made up as they go along. Each leading lady takes
bold chances in order to get her own way, involving the likes of a rock star,
truck driver, cowboy and farm boy. Karenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07489790636123617494noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-383869808970130649.post-8010598282057429782014-07-01T09:20:00.001-04:002016-03-20T21:19:07.767-04:00Of Sunscreen, Hard Water, and Lemon Juice
Is it just me or
does anyone else have problems with sunscreen and their hard water? Oh that’s
right, most normal people have water softeners. I guess that would be those
appliances that sit in your basement room and every now and again you go down
and dump a bag of salt in them. I know this because I don’t have one of those
appliances.

At times I can
become a bit delusional and think I’m a poet. Sigh.
My mind is frazzled, I kid you not.
I feel like I’m going over the top.

ABSTRACT: In the spring of 2010, right after the BP
disaster happened in the Gulf, I had a dream. In the dream, I “dreamed
up” a song; it's the second time I composed a song in a dream. I can’t
explain that, but the dream ended up inspiring me to write a story I call
“Sometime,” the same name I gave the song. “Sometime” is included in a
collection of short stories Karenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07489790636123617494noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-383869808970130649.post-58350398110751324902013-06-03T23:20:00.000-04:002016-03-20T21:39:12.804-04:00School’s Out! (Note to Self: Buy more beer)
Friday was the last day of school for
my two junior high children, and as of this Monday morning, they announced they
were bored.
“There’s nothing to do around here,” they
complained, as if I hadn’t heard them say it the first 27 times.
“You got 3 acres of woods back
there! Build a fort or something.”
“We want to go to Grandma’s!”
“Sold! Get in the truck!”

Welcome to Karen’s Blog Stop and Coffee House. This is an old blog, but it’s getting
remodeled! It is currently in the
development stage, meaning that soon I’ll have tabs and everything! Wow.
Stop back by for coffee and useless interesting information.

Good question. It’s
just that one day I sat down and visited my blog. I hadn’t been to it in a while and it just
looked, well – tired. So on a whim, I
deleted every single blog post. I’m like
that sometimes.
I’ve had fun being a blogger these past two years, and I have
learned a lot. Although, I’d be willing
to bet I have a lot more to learn. Ah! Karenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07489790636123617494noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-383869808970130649.post-64685629672534945472013-04-08T13:12:00.000-04:002016-03-20T21:22:20.147-04:00Face Lift
My blog is getting a face lift! I have removed every single one of my old
posts and I’ll soon be back with a new design.
Hello? Is anybody
out there?
(Silence)
Ha ha ha hah hah giggle, er . . . ah-hem!
If anyone just simply can’t live without any of my old posts,
please let me know.
Sigh. Perhaps I
should be the one getting the face lift.
Stay Karenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07489790636123617494noreply@blogger.com
